Here are some simple ways to make your boards most effective.
* Make your boards specific - the more specific your boards are the easier it will be to find information and use it later. Give them names so that you will know exactly what you are going to pin to them.
* Organize your boards - Your Pinterst probably isn't just for home, school or your kids. Organize your boards so you can easily find the boards you are looking for.
My school boards are on top and are ordered by the month they will be used. Then I put my shared grade level boards. Last I put my home boards at the bottom in alphabetical order.
* Share boards with your friends, family and colleagues - Create boards that you can share with someone else. Share your recipes with you sister, your crafts with your neighbor and your common core ideas with a fellow teacher!
Who can pin? will allow you to add anyone you want to pin to your board.
* Reorganize and update your boards - you always have the option to go back and move pins by editing where they belong.
Repin will allow you to pin to another board but also keep it on the original board. Edit will allow you to move it to another board or delete the pin.
* Write about pins you have used - If you find a great activity, recipe or idea go back and write about it in the description. If you added a bit of your own spin to it write that on there. Then you will always have a record of how it worked.
Edit will let you change the caption that goes with your pin.
